WARNING: A very picture heavy post<\/p>\n

We, that is my friend Veslem\u00f8y and I, just opened our store! We are open every Sunday 12am \u2013 3am. At the moment there are almost no goods for sale in the store, but we are working on that, in the meantime it is a lovely haven to hang every Sunday with lots and lots of creativity, and of course chocolate. <\/p>\n

The name of the store is \u201dFru Forsell\u201d. \u201dFru\u201d means \u201dMrs.\u201d in Norwegian, and Fru Forsell was the eldest person living in my neighbourhood<\/a> (that I\u2019ve told you about earlier). This old lady, with working class background, was living among all the punks and activists, refusing to leave her childhood neighbourhood. She passed away three years ago.<\/p>\n

Our intentions are to establish a creative atmosphere where independent artists and creative souls can find room to display and sell their work. We\u2019ll charge \u00a320 a month for selling peoples things and the money will be used to pay the rent. Also we wish to offer ideal organisations a location where they can sell their merchandise without paying any rent at all, so that all the money earned goes back to the organisations. In Fru Forsell we want to focus on recycling and consumption by creative use of materials and older techniques. Check out the bags made out of old tractor tires and the redesigned dress!<\/p>\n

Vi, det vil si meg og min venninne Veslem\u00f8y, har akkurat \u00e5pnet butikk! Vi har \u00e5pent hver s\u00f8ndag fra 12 til 15. For \u00f8yeblikket er det ikke s\u00e5 mange varer i butikken, men det kommer mer etter hvert, i mellomtiden er det uansett en deilig plass \u00e5 \u201dhenge\u201d hver s\u00f8ndag fylt av masse kreativ skaperglede, og selvf\u00f8lgelig sjokolade. Er du i Trondheim s\u00e5 er det bare \u00e5 komme innom, vi ligger i Strandveien 21 p\u00e5 Svartlamon. <\/p>\n

Navnet Fru Forsell har vi etter den eldste personen som bodde i bydelen<\/a> min (som jeg har fortalt om tidligere). Denne arbeiderklasse kvinnen hadde bodd her hele sitt liv og sammen med p\u00f8nkerne og aktivistene nektet hun \u00e5 flytte fra sin barndoms nabolag. Hun gikk bort for tre \u00e5r siden.<\/p>\n

Form\u00e5let med butikken er \u00e5 skape en kreativ atmosf\u00e6re hvor uavhengige kunstnerspirer og andre driftige sjeler kan finne rom til \u00e5 stille ut og selge arbeidene sine. Vi tar 200 kr for \u00e5 leie seg inn i lokalet p\u00e5 m\u00e5nedsbasis, og pengene g\u00e5r rett inn i husleia, s\u00e5 i dette skal det ikke ligge noen profitt. Samtidig \u00f8nsker vi ogs\u00e5 \u00e5 tilby ideelle organisasjoner \u00e5 selge sine produkter der gratis, s\u00e5 alle pengene som genereres kan g\u00e5 direkte tilbake til organisasjonen. I Fru Forsell \u00f8nsker vi \u00e5 sette fokus p\u00e5 ressurs- og forbruk ved \u00e5 kreativt utnytte gjenbruksmaterialer og gamle teknikker p\u00e5 nye m\u00e5ter.
