So my intentions to learn how to make yarn from scratch are coming along, and I\u2019m pretty pleased if I may say so. This is my second try on the spindle and I managed to make the yarn the thickness I wanted to. Just to show you the difference from my first try I put it in the background so you can compare the results. My plan for this Norwegian wool is to make it into a double ply yarn, which I hope to dye my self in some lovely colors later (I just have to learn how to do it first). The next step now is to use Andean Plying<\/a> to twist the plies together, and then use my new niddy noddy to make a nice looking skein, before washing it. Then, hopefully, and finally, the end result will appear. I\u2019m so exited about seeing how it all will turn out.<\/p>\n

Intensjonene mine om \u00e5 l\u00e6re meg \u00e5 lage garn helt fra grunnen av ser ut til \u00e5 g\u00e5 i oppfyllelse, og jeg er ganske s\u00e5 forn\u00f8yd om jeg m\u00e5 f\u00e5 si det selv. Dette er mitt andre fors\u00f8k og denne gangen fikk jeg til den tykkelsen p\u00e5 garnet som jeg var ute etter. For sammenligningens skyld har jeg satt det f\u00f8rste fors\u00f8ket mitt i bakgrunnen, slik at dere kan se utviklingen. Planen for dette f\u00f8rste prosjektet er \u00e5 forvandle den norske ulla til et totr\u00e5ds garn, som jeg senere har lyst til \u00e5 farge i noen friske farger (jeg m\u00e5 bare l\u00e6re meg hvordan jeg skal gj\u00f8re det f\u00f8rst). Neste skritt n\u00e5 er \u00e5 bruke Andean Plying<\/a> s\u00e5 jeg f\u00e5r tvunnet tr\u00e5dene sammen, og s\u00e5 skal jeg bruke mitt nyinnkj\u00f8pte hespetre til \u00e5 lage ei fin hespe f\u00f8r jeg vasker garnet.
