Well that just has to wait. The good thing though is that I suddenly have room for new projects, and can start quite a few new ones. And what kind of knitting mom would I be if I didn’t turn my attention to the new little person growing inside of me? Not a very good one huh? So yesterday I started on the Tiramisu Blanket designed by Alicia Poulson and published on her beautiful blog Posie gets cozy. I changed the yarn from cotton in the original pattern to a silk wool blend, and decided to use a 5mm hook instead of the suggested 5,5mm hook. I also increased the amount of stitches starting with 131 st instead of 91 st. I see that using wool won’t give that beautiful stitch definition that cotton would, but it’s oh so soft! This is how far I got last night, I guess it will be quite fast to finish.

The bad thing about giving all existing WIPs a long vacation based on the fact that I won’t fit into them for along time, is that right now I’m really inspired to work on a larger figure hugging garment experimenting with different shaping techniques.
