I’m finally back in London, and I can tell you that my mood definitely got a boost being with my family again. After three weeks my conclusion was that it is unnatural to stay away from your loved ones for so long. I came back last Thursday and I have really enjoyed the last few days. I’m also very happy to have access to my camera and my own computer again, and I promise you that there will be a lot more activity on this blog from now on. <\/p>\n

First of all I want to show you my solution to last week’s TEMA, “Ice, Frost and Cold”<\/em>, and for the week before, “Nostalgia”<\/em>. I understand the term nostalgia as good\/sentimental memories about an earlier period of one’s life or about older times. The picture I’ve chosen to illustrate this is a picture which is very dear to me. It is taken allmost five years ago, and it is of me and my then newborn daughter. I had a wonderful and crazy youth which I look back on with joy, this picture represents to me the end of that period and how I realized that I was finally an adult. Youth being replaced with the most wonderful of all experiences being a mom. It also reminds me of when my daughter was a little baby, and the special feelings and atmosphere that rise between parents and children in the first months of a new person’s life. The other pictures represent Ice, but since there is no snow or ice here in London I had to make it myself. What I’ve tried to capture in these pictures is the structure\/texture of the ice, how water moves and get shaped when frozen. The first picture is the original photo, the other one is manipulated with color and contrast trying to intensify the “coldness”. This week’s TEMA is Heat and Fire, and I’ll make sure to reach the deadline this time.<\/p>\n

Jeg er endelig tilbake i London! De siste dagene har jeg bare kost meg her hjemme med de jeg er glad i. Jeg savnet pia mi og min kj\u00e6re s\u00e5 mye, at jeg til slutt konkluderte med at det m\u00e5 v\u00e6re unaturlig \u00e5 v\u00e6re borte fra familien sin s\u00e5 lenge. En annen ting jeg er overlykkelig over, er \u00e5 v\u00e6re i n\u00e6rheten av mitt eget kamera og min egen datamaskin igjen. Jeg lover at det kommer til \u00e5 bli mye mer aktivitet her inne fra n\u00e5 av. <\/p>\n

F\u00f8rst av alt vil jeg ta igjen det jeg henger etter n\u00e5r det gjelder TEMA for forrige uke, Rim Frost Kulde, og uka f\u00f8r det, Nostalgi. Min l\u00f8sning for Nostalgi er et bilde som betyr veldig mye for meg. Dette er tatt for ca fem \u00e5r siden da pia mi var nyf\u00f8dt. For meg representerer dette bildet overgangen fra en fantastisk ungdom til en like fantastisk voksentilv\u00e6relse som mamma. Det representerer ogs\u00e5 det magiske ved \u00e5 ha f\u00e5tt ett nyf\u00f8dt barn og den f\u00f8rste tiden etter dette hvor b\u00e5ndene mellom barn og foreldre etableres, for meg en betingelsesl\u00f8s kj\u00e6rlighet. P\u00e5 de neste to bildene har jeg fors\u00f8kt \u00e5 illustrere kulde gjennom is, men siden det ikke er noe s\u00e6rlig med sn\u00f8 og is her i London s\u00e5 m\u00e5tte jeg lage den selv. Det jeg har pr\u00f8vd p\u00e5 er \u00e5 fange isens struktur\/tekstur, hvordan vannet beveger seg inn i hard form under frysing. Det f\u00f8rste bildet er det orginale, det andre er manipulert med farge og \u00f8kt kontrast for \u00e5 forsterke f\u00f8lelsen av kulde.
