I’ve been tagged

A few weeks ago I was tagged by Felisi
It goes like this:
Pick up the nearest book.

Open on page 123.

Find the fifth sentence.

Post the next three sentences.

Tag five people, and acknowledge who tagged you.

Being so busy with my MD (only four weeks to go until deadline) I forgot all about it, but today I remembered. Sorry, but considering which books that surround me these days it’s no wonder that I had to pick up an academic book, “Experimental Ethnography” by Catherine Russell.

“The motto of the 1893 World’s Columbian Exposition in Chicago was “To See Is to Know” – indicating the coextensive discourses of science, visuality, imprisonment, and imperialism that governed the display of native peoples. The display of animals likewise demonstrated the plunder of the “civilizing process” – the taming of wild beasts and the wealth of knowledge and multiplicity produced through colonial power. John Berger has further suggested that the zoo exhibits the marginality of animals in industrial society.”

Do academic books have long sentences or what?

It’s my turn to tag, and so I hereby tag these five lovely people:
Frk. Badegakk
Lick my Sticks
Mel
One K
Anette K
